Deer Fun Facts
Deer are social animals and tend to have regular routes they use to travel. These routes will become well-worn trails over time and can be clear of low vegetation. Sometimes, you can capture the deer tracks on these trails. These tracks allow you to examine their hoofs. In a normal hoof print, you will notice two teardrop shaped halves lying side by side to form a split heart. If the deer is walking on slippery surface like mud or snow, the hooves will take a V shape to prevent the deer from sliding off the trail. |
