Bear Facts

Did you know that the shape of a bear’s claw is not the same among the various species of bears? Black bears which are known to climb trees very well are said to have claws which are curved and strong to allow them to claw at tree bark. Grizzlies on the other hand have straight and long claws which allow them to dig a den. Like the black bears, the sloth bear is also said to have hook like claws which allow them to climb trees and dig for termites.
