Saint Cecilia is recognized as the Patron Saint of Music and is most often shown playing an organ, flute, violin or harp. It is said that when she was married, she heard Heavenly music in her heart and is said to have sung in her heart to the Lord. She was matyred along with her husband and his brother by the sword. The story is told that Saint Cecilia survived the attack and lived for another three days before she died. The executioner had been unable to severe her head from her body. Our beautiful sculpture of this blessed saint captures her glorious love for music and highlights a sculpture that adds life and love to a church setting or school created in her name.
