Saint Anthony of Padua was known to be a powerful preacher and he would be seen carrying the Book of Gospels in his hand. Many miracles have been attributed to this amazing saint. Some say he is also the recover of lost property. The story about that came with the loss of a precious book in which Saint Anthony kept notes and comments made during his travels. The book was taken by one of his students and when he left the premises, something compelled the student to return the book and it found its way to the rightful hands of its owner. Since then, people have prayed to Saint Anthony for the recovery of their lost properties and the saint is said to have interceded in many ways. Our sculpture captures the greatness of this saint and highlights him with his book.
