Did you know that wolves are opportunists? During times of hunting for prey, they will develop a plan on their targets and seek them out. Although their plan of attack could take several days to materialize, wolves are known to work efficiently as a pack and hunt for very large animals like bison, elk or even the moose. One bite from a wolf can be so strong that it is known to bite through the bone of a moose’s thigh. However, the larger their prey, the more their chances of getting kicked by the hooves of a powerful elk or moose. It is therefore possible that wolves can get seriously hurt or even killed when kicked by an elk or moose. Danger also lurks in the form of the antlers which could easily gore a charging wolf. |
