Did you know that climate changes can cause problems to the life cycles of sea turtles? A rise in the sea level for instance compounded with melting polar ice caps can cause beaches to disappear. When we lose beaches, we will lose potential sea turtles that could be born. Some sea turtles will feel lost returning to the “same” place to have their babies when the place they remember is no longer there. Additionally, if there is an increased temperature caused by climatic changes, this could lead to more female turtles being born than males, leading to a problem in turtle reproduction over time.
