Fun Pig Facts
The ancient Celts specifically the Celtic Lingones tribe had a swine God called Moccus who was seen as the protector of the warriors and the boar hunters. The Lingones tribe also considered eating boar meat as a sacred event and only confined to ritual feasts. Moccus was often compared to the Greek God Mercury. He continues to be worshipped till this day by Druids and Wiccans.
