Do you know that wolves follow a social hierarchy? There are two members within the pack who are thought to be leaders in the pack and they are the alpha male and the alpha female. Most often, they are usually the parents of the pack which could include wolves that are aged a few years old. The alphas are usually the leaders who will mate and care for the pack setting up the territory and den of their family members. Sometimes, the pack may be as large as 20 members and could include extended members of the family like aunts and uncles, grandparents and even the occasional wolf that simply wants to join in. |
