Elephant Facts

Do you know that elephants can produce a lot of methane gas? In fact, the amount of methane gas they produce in one day is enough to power a car for several kilometers which have been estimated at about 30 km. This gas emission happens because of the process of digestion. Elephants unlike animals like sheep and cows are non-ruminant herbivores and do not chew, belch or ruminate. As a result, the way they get by this is to emit methane gas.
