Frog Facts

Have you heard about the reticulated glass frog? It is exactly as its name suggests – it is transparent although only on the underside! This little frog which is no better than the size of a coin is found in the rain forests of Ecuador, Panama, Colombia and Costa Rica. When it jumps, you can see the transparent underside of the frog including its beating heart. Although it comes with the name of a “glass frog”, it is spotted on the top of its back.
