Herons are long-legged coastal birds which are known to wade around tropical areas and are oftentimes spotted around swamps and rivers. Many times confused with the cranes, herons are known for their retractable necks which really make them distinct from the cranes and spoonbills. Our sculpture of the heron comes beautifully detailed highlighting character and the fine points of a heron capturing its view of the surroundings as it appears to rest atop a trunk.
