Saint Anthony of Padua is notably one of the greatest saints known to mankind who was said to be a great follower of Saint Francis of Assisi. He was also a preacher. It is said that thirty years after his death, his body was exhumed and the church officials found that most of his body had been turned to dust but a tongue remained, still moist and glistening. It was taken as proof of Saint Anthony's forceful preaching and love in spreading the Gospels.
Our sculpture of Saint Anthony comes beautifully detailed and is seen holding lilies, the Book of Gospels and Baby Jesus. The statue is beautifully detailed by Italian artisans and captures amazing character.
